Hershey Aquatic Club (HAC) – Part-time Assistant  Coach 11/7/17

The Hershey Aquatic Club (HAC) is a highly respected and competitive 170+ member  USA Swimming Level 2 competitive swim program, located in Hershey, Pennsylvania. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Swim Coach. HAC primarily competes in USA Swimming in Middle Atlantic swim meets in addition to local league meets in Central Pennsylvania. HAC also participates in USA Swimming meets at the Olympic Trials, Nationals, Junior Nationals, Sectionals, Zones and Junior Olympics levels.  The interested applicants must have at least two (2) years of prior swim coaching experience, willingness to coach under the philosophy of the HAC head coach, strong motivational and communication skills, and the desire to implement new coaching techniques acquired via coaching education.

This part-time position is expected to start in the Spring of 2018. Applicants would be supervising elementary and/or middle school age swimmers, and must be available in the fall/winter between the hours of 5:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and in the summer between the hours of 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Weekend availability (average of 1-2 monthly) to coach meets is also required. Some weekend travel to swim meets may be required. The applicants must be certified, or be willing to obtain certifications, in CPR, First Aid (Safety Training for Swim Coaches), and be a USA/ASCA Coaching Member.

Keystone Aquatics (KA) – Director of Competitive Swimming 10/31/17

Keystone Aquatics (KA), is a newly formed coach run and private facility owned age group and master’s competitive swimming program, located in Central PA.  Keystone Aquatics will swim at Keystone Aquatic Center and Latshmere Swim Club, outdoor facility.  The Keystone Aquatic Center (KAC) is an indoor 50 meter x 25 yard pool with an additional SwimEx flume pool.

Interested applicants should be at least ASCA Certification level 2.  Applicants must be able to work directly with Keystone Aquatic Center LLC ownership.  Candidates should possess strong motivational and communication skills and be able to implement coaching and training techniques acquired via coaching education.

Applicants will be responsible for coordinating training sessions for all groups at both facilities, provide support and training for all KA coaches and assist in the running of swim meets.  Applicants must be certified in CPR, First Aid, Safety Training for Swim Coaches, and become a USA Coaching Member.

Friends Select Aquatics –  Part Time Lead Group Coach 10/26/17

Friends Select Aquatics, located in Center City Philadelphia, is seeking applications for a a lead group coach, primarily working with swimmers 12 years old and younger. Previous coaching experience required. This position would require working closely with the Head Coach to do season planning and workout writing for the group. Lehigh Valley Aquatics  –  Assistant Coach 9/26/17

Lehigh Valley Aquatics in Bethlehem, PA is looking is looking to hire an assistant age group coach for our pre-competitive and competitive team, mainly coaching 10 & Under swimmers. During the school year, we practice at Freedom High School, which has a 6 lane, 25 yard pool.

The ideal candidate must be at least 18 years of age, have a background in competitive swimming and swim instruction for children of all ages, have excellent communication skills, a desire to study and progress as a coach and have a passion for the sport that ultimately translates to the way they act on and off the pool deck. The candidate must also have the ability to relate to children, parents and fellow staff in a mature and consistent manner with our LVA philosophy. This position will also be year-round, with occasional weekend and holiday work required or as needed.

Hours Required for practice:

Mon, Wed & Thu from 5:45-7:15PM

Tue from 5:45-7:45PM

Assigned meets on Fridays and weekends.  Other substitute hours as needed by the coaching staff

Perkiomen Valley High School  –  Head High School Coach 9/26/17

The Department of Athletics at Perkiomen Valley High School has an immediate opening for the position of Head Boys/Girls Swim Coach. This is a part time position. The applicant must be available between the hours 2:00 PM-6:00 PM weekdays, and Saturdays from 8:00 AM – Noon, from mid-November to mid-March. Interested applicants must have prior swim coach experience, a willingness to coach under the philosophy and culture of the Perkiomen Valley School District, strong motivational, organizational and communication skills.

As a staff member of the athletic program under the direction of the Athletic Director, the Head Coach implements approved policies of the athletic program; directs the overall activities of the team; provides for the welfare of the student-athletes; maintains and enhances the school’s standing in the community through the conduct and performance of the players; and fulfills such other duties associated with the team(s) and student-athletes as the Athletic Director may assign.

The authority and responsibility of the Head Swim Coach extend to assistant coaches and all student-athletes specifically involved in the particular sport in providing for the health, safety, physical, mental, and athletic development of each student-athlete as the Athletic Director may assign.

Hatboro-Horsham Aquatic Association (HHAA) – Head Swim Team Coach and Assistant Coach 8/28/17

HHAA is seeking energetic, experienced, passionate, professional candidates for the positions of Head Swim Team Coach and Assistant Swim Team Coach to begin in September 2017. HHAA is a competitive swim and dive club, located in Horsham, PA, with athletes at all levels of experience, varying from beginners and pre-team to competitors at Junior Olympics and Senior Champs. HHAA competes in the Suburban Aquatic League (SAL) and Mid-Atlantic USA Swimming.  The SAL season runs from September through February including Monday through Friday practices, 5 dual meets in November and December, 2 dual meet finals in January and 2 championship meets in January/February.  Local travel is required for away meets.

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1-3 years coaching experience
  • Knowledge and ability to communicate proper stroke technique instruction and development, dry land conditioning, and taper strategies for all levels of swimmers
  • Level 3 ASCA certification (preferred)
  • Current USA Swimming Coach Certification in good standing (preferred)
  • 4-year college degree (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of Hy-Tek Team Manager & Meet Manager (preferred)
  • Must pass USA Swimming coach background checks
  • American Red Cross CPR and First Aid are required.

Blue Eagle Swimming (BLUE) is seeking qualified applicants for Assistant Coach who would primarily work with our highest level athletes.
