Middle Atlantic Swimming – Bylaw revision at the House of Delegates
On April 29, 2017, the Middle Atlantic House of Delegates will be asked to approve changes in one of our most important governing documents, the Middle Atlantic Bylaws. A task force has been working on these revisions for approximately two years with an eye toward creating more a more efficient and governance-oriented leadership group for our organization. In an effort to move from a management-based Board to a strategically-oriented body, the task force is recommending modifications such as replacing the Treasurer position on the Board with the CFO (Finance Vice-Chair) and combining competition & performance functions under one Vice-Chair.
The changes that have been endorsed by the task force and reviewed by the Middle Atlantic Board of Directors and USA Swimming’s Rules and Regulations committee are set forth in the accompanying documents. Please take time to become familiar with the proposed Bylaw documents that will be discussed, if needed, and voted upon by the House of Delegates at the April meeting.
