2001 Middle Atlantic Long Course Zone Meet Entry

year’s Long Course Zone Championship will be held in Buffalo, NY.
The meet will be held in two pools; Erie Community College, Flickinger
Aquatic Center (13 & O) and University of Buffalo Alumni Arena Pool, North
Campus (12 & U). All finals will be held at the Erie pool

email address and phone number, and the dates you need the room.
DO NOT CALL THE HOTEL. YOU
WILL NOT GET THE DISCOUNTED RATE IF YOU MAKE THE RESERVATION.

Eligibility:
All applicants must be current members of Middle Atlantic Swimming.
Entrants may not compete in events they have swum individually at Sr.
Nationals or Olympic Trials.
Times:
All times must be in long course meters - NO CONVERSIONS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR
THE ZONE MEET! Times must be LC
Meters from September 1, 2000 through 2001 Summer JO’s.
NO CONSIDERATION TIMES WILL BE ACCEPTED!
Who
Is Selected:
Middle Atlantic may take a Minimum of two entries in each event.
Any swimmer who has achieved the qualifying time (see MA website www.maswim.org
) is eligible for the meet.
Swimmer may swim a total of six (6) events exclusive of relays, no more
than three (3) events per day.
Any swimmer who does not swim their qualifying time at Zones will be
asked to prove that time.
Any swimmer failing to prove that time will be fined $100 per event.
Failure to pay that fine will result in suspension from further
participation in Middle Atlantic and Zone competition.
Entry
Deadline:
All entries must be made on the attached entry form.
All entries should be received no later than
Friday, July 20, at 6pm. No entries other than JO’s entries will be accepted after
this date. Those swimmers achieving
new qualifying times or faster times at JO’s may submit an update form at the JO’s
Update Table. JO’s
TIMES WILL NOT BE AUTOMATICALLY UPDATED; YOU MUST FILL OUT THE FORM AT JO’s.
No updated times, other than JO times will be accepted at that meet.
The attached entry form must be completely filled out or it will be

Participation
Requirement: Parents
and swimmers must understand that they are committing themselves to swimming
finals and consoles (if made), and must be available to swim relays (if chosen.)
If this requirement is not fulfilled the parents will be fined $50 and
the swimmer will not be permitted to participate in MA meets until such fine is
paid.
Cost:
Entry fee of $4.00 per entry. Each
swimmer must secure their own room, meals and transportation. Equipment cost is
$45 Female/$45 male. All fees must
be paid by July 20th. If you
qualify for new events at JO Champs you may pay for those events at that time.
If you are a new qualifier at JOs there will be a limited amount of
equipment available. See Ruthann
